Thanks for shopping in my online vintage clothing store, you are viewing a rare vintage 30's Fashion Originators Guild dress with gorgeous embroidery. Talk about some older Hollywood glam with embroidery detailing as seen in this beauty! Long black and beautiful! The embroidery detailing is on the front of the bodice on each shoulder, and sleeves and across the back. The flowers have multi colors of sage green, coral, gold, and a light sienna. Gorgeous! As you can see from the pictures the top of the back where the embroidery detailing is, the fabric is sheer! High open collar with a small V neckline, the front of the bodice is accented with a pleated detailing on the tummy, giving the dress more of an hourglass figure. Elbow length sleeves and long flowing skirt. Old metal zipper on the side of the waist for closure. The label found in this dress is "This Style Registered with Fashion Originators Guild". You can learn more about the that started in 1932 and Maurice Rentner was the founding member and first president. The guild was shut down in 1941. Please note there are a few VERY minor notes, on the vertical seams on the front at the waist, there are two places where the seams need a few stitches, appears someone a little big for the dress tried it on for fitting, the seams are not busted or a hole, just a little loose. Also please note on the back of the skirt at the BOTTOM of the skirt there are some holes, the holes the holes are horizontal approximately 1" in length. See pictures. When worn it is not noticeable, picture makes it look worse than it is. One could wear a black slip and the holes would not be noticeable at all or hem the dress approximately 7". As you can also see in the pictures the seam on one shoulder needs stitching. Please ask any and all questions before purchasing, sold as is, ALL sales final.
